Terms of computer use
- Your HU-Account (synonyms:
login-signal, user identification, user name) entitles you to use
following computers of the Computer and Media Service (CMS):
- The communication server "amor.cms.hu-berlin.de
".
- the computing centre of the CMS.
- the WLAN at the HU.
- the VPN to the intranet of the HU.
- The placed order is valid for the current term.
The order will be renewed
by each registration renewal
of your enrolment (incl. all terms you will take off).
Please inform the User Advisory Centre (»Benutzerberatung«) about each alteration concerning your matriculation number.
Otherwise we can not renew your placed order automatically.
- The password has to be changed annually.
- Your account will be locked when either
the order wasn't renewed or the password
wasn't changed in time. To unlock your account,
please go to this website: https://amor.hu-berlin.de/
Accounts locked a year or longer will be deleted.
- The client has to take note of the
terms of use for the
Computer and Media Service and University Library and has to observe those
in order to prevent any abuse of his/her account.
The client must not allow others to use
a computer with his/her account.
The client is liable
for any abuse of his/her account.
It is strictly forbidden to use, search or modify unauthorised any data network, computer, services, programs and data of a third party - or even to try to - whenever using the data network
of the university, the German Science Net (WiN) and the Internet.
On any German science net only data and information concerning science, research, development or administration shall be transmitted.
Please avoid superfluous network load.
- Any offences against the conditions may result in the client's exclusion
and could even have penal consequences.
- The User Advisory Centre (»Benutzerberatung«) has to be informed about any personal data processing.
When handling personal data please stick to the modus operandi given by the CMS.
